Flash Understand the importance of a teacher       Teaching steps                             Step 1. Vocabulary Present some new words.     Use the proper situations.     Grasp the new words Step 2. Skimming Answer the following questions: 1).Why did many teachers give up on him? 2).What problem did he have ?   Read the text quickly. Ask and answer between the students and the teacher.         Collect the basic information of the passage. Sep 3. Scanning Decide the following statements are True of False.   Discuss in pairs.         Learn to cooperate and share. Sep 4 Read the passage after the tape and try to find out some important phrases and say their Chinese meanings. Listen and speak.       Learn to study alone. Step 5. Careful- reading Read the passage with the tape and complete the following table.   Read together. Use a clear table.       Try to find the detail information of the passage. Step 6. Discussion Do you think Miss yang is a good teacher? Why or why not?   Discuss in pairs.           Understand the main idea of the passage. Step 7. Post –reading The students read the passage loudly by themselves. Fill the missing words in the blanks to complete the summary of the text.   Read loudly. Cloze.         Sum up the whole text. Step 8. Discussion Use some words to describe good teachers in our eyes and good students in teachers’ eyes.     Discuss in groups. Learn to cooperate and share. Summary How do you deal with the relationship between you and your teachers?     The students discuss first. The teacher draws a conclusion.         The students and teachers should love, respect, help and learn from each other.
