。）此外，結婚還可以用marry; get married; wed來表示。
　　Marry是結婚的意思，可是要注意的是，“我要結婚”不能說成I will marry. “結婚”老外不單講 marry，而說 get married. 因為單講 marry 是表示嫁或娶的意思，是一個及物動詞，必須要賓語。例如“我要娶她”就是 I will marry her. 。那么“結了婚”就可以說 We were married 或是 We got married. 這二種都很常用。
　　結婚還可以說get hitched. 例如Let’s get hitched.（我們結婚吧。）另外，可以說 make a big commitment，原意“作一個重大的承諾”，婚姻不就是一個重大的承諾嗎？所以你可以說I’ve decided to make a big commitment to him. 意思就是“我決定要嫁給他了。”
　　婚禮前通常來賓會將禮金即喜錢（gift of money to the couple）送給新郎新娘，而婚禮儀式（wedding ceremony）中最重要的部分則是交換結婚戒指（a wedding band），儀式結束后便開始婚宴（Wedding dinner, a wedding reception），
