Volunteer of Shanghai world expo 世博志愿者

Just know that in Shanghai world expo, it is high time, 3 december 2002, China to host 2010 expo a success, and then felt that the 2008 olympic games is not to mention 2010, it is eight years, the state in progress, city is growing, and I have spent their university. Fortunately the study came to shanghai and have a chance to become a world expo group of volunteers.

To become a volunteer is not difficult for me. After registration, examination, training and other steps, and I easily have become one in Hongqiao Airport Expo volunteers. Expo to become a volunteer, I am very excited. Every day I work 6 hours on the site, and my partner have to work webmaster. There, I played really value as a volunteer.

Volunteer job is not so tired , we got the chair to seat, we stand up when the visitor come to us and we help soving the problems. Most visitors come over to ask helps , like how to buy the ticket of EXPO, how to got to the EXPO meeting, how can i get to EXPO from airport, the situation of airport and the transportation. When something we are not sure, we go online to look for the right answer. We try our best to help our visitors and make them satisfy. Because we all want our EXPO visitors have a great impression of our job, our city of SHANGHAI. Therefore, our responsibility and challenge is , to make sure the accurate and prompt answer for our visitors.

Secondly,there#39;s a very important task for us is to treat the foreign passenger.So it#39;s the time to test our English.My English is not very good.But I like talking with foreigners to train my speaking.I think,the foreign passenger must have felt our passion.

As a volunteer, I am pleased to be able to service foreign tourists. There#39;s one thing I was particularly impressed. That afternoon, I saw one about the age of 60-year-old foreign friends, who are looking for subway exit card system, and I think he is not very fast action, it found, he needed my help. So I went to help him. I told him in English, I was the Expo volunteer, I help you be proud? I even showed him my documents. He was happy, told me in English, he did not know which direction to fly. So I took him to check in, to baggage. But I found that his aircraft is 20 o#39;clock, he went to the 14:00. He asked me in English what he can do, I generally forget about time, I said to go to urban areas, there is little time for shopping, and return must be more than two hours. I took him to our site, presented him with publicity materials about the World Expo, Shanghai tourist map, and according to his map describes some of Shanghai#39;s attractions. He was very happy,thanked me a long time,at last I told him"I#39;m going to the office,he went to the security checkpoint.In all along the line,I felt I listened to him a little bit...In a sentence,I couldn#39;t get a thing out of one or two words,but could know the sentences#39; mean,and used my "Chinese English" to answer him,talk with him,and ask him"Can you know my English?"He praised me.In this way,I was very happy,I could communicate to foreigner smoothly,made a cute volunteer,more sured my English lever.
