　　附：錯別字。求職信中的錯字、別字和病句一定要努力消滅干凈。文字性錯誤在打印的求職信中尤為常見。求職信是展示語言文字水平的絕好機會，而且許多單位對這方面的要求相當高，因此，在寫完求職信的時候，一定仔細檢查幾遍，最好能請同學或老師提提意見，以確保萬無一失。

　　濫用縮寫。前面說過日期不要縮寫，其實在求職信中，除非是眾所周知的、常用的縮寫外，盡量不要縮寫。如“北京航天航空大學”不要寫成“北航”，“中山大學”不要寫成“中大”。在許多情況下，你認為對方應當知道的縮寫對方未必就知道，即使對方知道，充斥著諸如“北航”、“中大”等縮寫的求職信也顯得不嚴肅和沒禮貌。

　　堆砌辭藻。即使你滿腹經綸，也不要幻想用華麗的辭藻就能打動招聘者。許多大學畢業生寫求職信都喜歡用一些華麗的語言，認為這樣就能使自己的求職信脫穎而出，其實不然。華麗的語言大多是華而不實的，是屬于大話、空話、套話，并沒實際的作用。事實上，有的求職信沒有任何豪言壯語，也沒有使用多么華麗的詞匯，但使人讀來覺得親切、自然、實實在在。

　　過于煽情。現在有些大學生在 找工作 的時候喜歡打“感情牌”，希望自己制作的求職信能出奇制勝而往往采取比較極端的手法，例如把自己在成長過程中走過的一些彎路夸張地描寫為自己的“血淚史”或“真情告白”，這是不足取的。什么“自幼父母離異”、“弟弟輟學在家”，一些求職者把這些經歷當成了求職的資本，企圖能博得用人單位的同情。其實，用人單位看了反而會覺得虛偽和有失誠信。
