　　大年初七，又叫做“人節(jié)”，是所有人類的生日，北方流行吃面條。因為傳說女媧初創(chuàng)世，在造出了雞狗豬羊牛馬等動物后，于第七天造出了人。

　　在東南亞的華人聚居區(qū)，這一天要撈魚生，以示步步高升發(fā)大財。

　　The seventh day, traditionally known as Renri (the mon persons birthday), is the day when everyone grows one year older. In some overseas Chinese munities in Southeast Asia, such as Malaysia and Singapore, it is also the day when tossed raw fish salad, yusheng, is eaten for continued wealth and prosperity.

　　農(nóng)歷初七對中國人來說是一個偉大的節(jié)日。一年中的`頭四天，除了值班的工人外，其他人都不工作。學(xué)生不上學(xué)，商店關(guān)門。

　　Several days before the new year，people begin to prepare. Farmers kill pigs，sheep，cocks and hens. City dwellers buy meat fish and vegetables. Houses are cleaned; coupletsare posted on the doors. Colourful lanterns are hung at the gate.

　　新年前幾天，人們開始準備。農(nóng)民殺死豬、羊、公雞和母雞。城里人買肉、魚和蔬菜。房子打掃干凈了；門上貼著對聯(lián)。門口掛著五顏六色的燈籠。
