  Module 7 一、模塊教學建議 語言功能：描述國家或城市及其地理位置。 學習任務：Where is New York\ San Francisco\ Washington D.C.? It’s in the east. 運用任務：給筆友寫封信，向他、她描述你的家鄉或國家；向全班學生描述學生曾旅游過的城市或國家；小組比賽，哪組最了解老師指定的國家或城市，最好有圖或照片加以說明。 模塊分析：本模塊主要圍繞描述城市或國家這一主題展開，Unit1通過Daming 和Sam的描述向同學們介紹了美國。Unit2 則呈現了幾個不同國家的城市，向學生們介紹了其所在國家和地理位置。 二、活動建議 活動1：給筆友寫一封信 活動目的：以給筆友寫英語信的方式，訓練學生寫的能力，為將來的寫小作文做鋪墊。 活動準備：一張學生喜歡的信紙。 活動過程：教師先教給學生如何用英文來寫信，將學生分為4人小組，可讓本班學生作為筆友，然后學生開始寫信，向自己的筆友介紹自己的國家，和自己所在的城市，然后彼此互相參考，最終寫出一封比較完整和優秀的信件來。對于現在的學生而言，寫信還是較難的，需要靠彼此的支持和幫助，共同完成。 活動2：我最喜歡的國家或城市 活動目的：鞏固和練習如何描述一個國家和一座城市，培養學生語言表達能力。 活動準備：照片，地圖，筆記。 活動過程：每個學生在上課前準備自己曾去過的國家或城市的照片，并向導游一般向大家介紹自己曾經去過的最美的國家或城市，帶領著同學們一起去暢游學生曾去過的地方，共同感受其優美，但要求學生必須先說出所描述國家或城市的地理位置，然后在介紹其特色，和自己的所見所聞。 活動3：你了解它嗎？ 活動目的：通過小組比賽的形式，讓學生大量收集國家或城市的信息，來培養學生的合作意識，和探求知識的能力。 活動準備：照片，地圖，文字卡片。 活動過程：學生分成若干小組，在上節課下課后由組長抽取本組將要描述的國家或城市，由組長帶領本組成員尋找相關的圖片，可查閱資料，上網搜索，在課堂上，每組向全班同學展示本組所描述的國家或城市，但最后由其他組成員來對所描述的國家或城市進行提問，如果順利過關，將獲勝。 Module 7     題目 Countries（國家） 題材 （主要） 內容 Daming在和Sam談論自己的“工程”——美國的地圖，他們在對照地圖談論美國的首都和其他幾個大城市的位置。 教學目標 語言 知識 目標 功能 談論國家、首都、城市及地理方位等。 語法 （結構、 句子） 介紹方位： It’s in the east/west/north/south. 介紹首都： Beijing is the capital of China.   詞匯 聽 能在聽錄音的過程中從語句中辨別出單詞：country, east, project, also, call, speak, right, city, west, cousin, there, north, south 說 能在句子中正確使用單詞：country, east, project, also, call, speak, right, city, west, cousin, there, north, south 讀 能跟錄音讀單詞：country, project, also, call, speak, right, city,  cousin, there 根據方位圖識讀單詞：east, west, south, north 寫 能夠正確拼寫單詞：east, west, city, also, call 語言 技能 目標 聽 能聽懂談論國家、首都、城市及地理方位的句子。 說 能夠看圖說出國家、城市及其地理方位。 讀 能夠讀出各大城市的名稱及對其方位的描述。 寫 能夠看圖填寫出城市的地理方位。 學習策略 積極與他人合作，共同完成學習任務；對所學內容能主動練習和實踐。 文化意識 了解中美幾個城市的名稱及方位。 情感態度 培養學生對祖國大好河山的熱愛。 任務 畫一張自己所在學校、社區或超市的方位圖，向同學進行描述。       《Module 7 Countries Unit 1 New York is in the east.》 教學設計 廣西田陽縣實驗小學  阮梅香   郵編：533600 移動電話：13317761675  一、教學內容：小學《新標準英語》三年級起點第四冊 二、教學內容分析：本課是新授課,要求學生能聽說兩個句型Washington D.C is the capital of the USA.和 It’s in the east/west.并初步運用于情景交際中。 三、教學目標： （一）、認知領域目標： Structure: Washington D.C is the capital of the USA.   It’s in the east/west. Words: Project, also, call, speak, city, cousin, Washington D.C,    New York, San Francisco. Function :1、Talking about countries and their capitals ； 2 、Using the four directions to talk about the location of cities. （二）、情感領域的教學目標： １、通過學習本課的知識，讓學生逐步接觸異國文化，幫助學生拓展視野，了解西方國家。 ２、通過各種活動，培養學生的集體主義精神和團結互助精神。 （三）、智力發展教學目標： １、通過各種活動，培養學生的有意記憶和創造能力。 ２、通過情景交際活動，培養學生用英語進行交際能力。 四、教學重點和難點： 重點：掌握本課句型“﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏ is the capital of﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏ .”和“It’s in the ﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏.” 難點：正確地描述地理位置。 五、媒體： 錄音、投影、電腦、兩面國旗。 六、Procedures: Step1、warmer 1、Greeting. 2、sing a song :I am the music man . (上課前唱首英語歌曲是為了調整一下學生的情緒，創造課堂氣氛，同時使學生得到美的熏陶。) Step 2: Presentation. 1、  Show the national flag of China T: “which country is this?” (China) What’s the capital of China? (Beijing) T: Beijing is the ……(Guide the students say the sentence: Beijing is the capital of China.) (用學生熟知的實物引入教學能夠吸引學生的注意力，直接進入第一個句型的口頭操練。) 2. Show the national flag of America, T:  which country is this? (the USA or America.) T:  Do you know anything about the USA or America? 3. Write the students’ suggestions on the board. Washington D.C New York San Francisco 4. Get the students to read the words in different way. (根據學生的回答課件出示單詞。) 5. These three cities are very famous in America. (Teach the word “city”) Do you know any cities in China? (The teacher calls out the names of something, have the students judge weather it is a city or a country). （通過讓學生進行判斷練習，使學生明白什么是city。） 6．T:  What’ the capital of America?（Washington D.C is the capital of America） （通過問答導入新句型，并板書，接著鼓勵和引導學生用新學的句型去描述自己知道的國家的首都。） Step 3.Listen and point. 1. What’s Daming’s project? Listen to the tape; underline the words you don’t know. （提出疑問，讓學生帶著問題聽錄音，有目的地聽，既能激起學生的興趣，又可啟迪學生的思維，使學生學習的主體作用得以充分發揮。） 2. Learn the new words together. Pay attention to “east, west”, draw a cross on board, and help the students to distinguish the two directions clearly. 3. Listen again, try to say after it. （對新單詞進行學習后，讓學生再來聽一遍錄音，可以增加學生對課文內容的理解，又可以繼續模仿正確的語音、語調。） 4. Pair work ，read the text together. (在同桌互讀中，學生能聽到自己的聲音，會注意調整自己的語音、語調，并在相互糾正中提高口語質量。另外通過多讀，可以鞏固本課的重點句型，促進語言知識的內化，使語言知識轉化為學生的語言能力。) 5. Finish the exercises: Washington D.C is ﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏. It’s in the ﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏. New York is ﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏. It’s in the ﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏. San Francisco is ﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏. It’s in the ﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏. （通過練習檢查學生對課文的記憶程度及對重點句型的掌握程度。） 6. Extension: Watch the multi-media, enjoy the map of America and some beautiful pictures of the three cities. (通過課件向學生展示美國的地圖和主要城市的圖片，讓學生逐步接觸異國文化，幫助學生拓展視野，了解西方國家，理解交際中的文化差異，進而提高跨文化交際能力。) Step 4.Consolidation: 1. Group work: Show the map of China with the main cities through computer, have the students make their own dialogue. (e.g.: A: Where is Shanghai? B: It’s in the east of China.)(or Beijing is in the east. It’s the capital of China.) 2. Have some groups report their conversation in front of the board. （通過小組合作學習，有利于學生了解彼此的思想和見解，有利于學習的廣泛遷移，有利于分享個體的思維與智慧，發展了學生的合作意識和合作能力，還使學生的創造力得到發揮。） Step 5 Extension. According to the pictures, write down the correct name of the country，and make sentences with “﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏ is the capital of﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏ .”       Step 6 Summary All these countries are so beautiful, and they are so mystery, I hope you everybody will travel all over the world one day. Step 7 Homework 1、Talk about the location  of the cities with the 2 directions (west  、 east) to your parents. 2、 Find out the names of more cities in America. （在作業的設計上，讓孩子們將課堂上的活動延伸到了課堂之外，通過告訴爸爸、媽媽一些城市的位置的方式來鞏固所學知識，將英語用到生活中；并讓學生養成收集資料的習慣。） Step 8.Freedback.
