Make the students know：
1 .Why do we need plants？
2 .Why are the plants important？
3. Plants feed all animals .
The students should be able to：
1 Understand the importance of plants .
2 Write something about the importance and use of plants .
詞匯：shade energy sunlight predator feed (v.)
句型：Why do sb.(sth.) need ……？
教學設計：
1 向學生問候，復習前面學過的關于天氣、學習等常用語句；復習前面學過的關于植物的內容。
2 說明本課內容：植物的重要作用，為什么我們需要植物，植物能為我們帶來什么。
3介紹本課詞匯和句型以及它們的用法。
4 帶領學生朗讀單詞與課文。
5 通過對話練習來鞏固本課內容。
6 請同學說出植物的重要作用，為什么我們需要植物以及植物能為我們帶來什么，或者到前面來板書。
7 指導學生閱讀“讀物”，做“活動手冊”上的練習題。
8 布置作業(yè) ：背誦和抄寫生詞，熟讀課文，用所學單詞和句型說明植物的重要作用，為什么我們需要植物以及植物能為我們帶來什么，完成練習題。
